Covid-19: in India, a couple gets married in the virtual universe of Harry Potter to circumvent the restrictions

A couple of young Indians are going to get married on Sunday in a virtual universe, in this case that of Harry Potter, in order to circumvent health regulations. It is also an opportunity for them to see again, in the form of an avatar, the father of the bride, who died last year.

Next Sunday, Dinesh and Janaganandhini, a couple of young Indians living in Tamil Nadu, a region in the south of their country, will get married. However, they wanted to make an impression with an entirely virtual ceremony. As the engaged couple recount in the daily The Hindu , they await their guests in the Metaverse, a fictional, digital world. Harry Potter fans, their ceremony will take place in the great hall of the school of wizards in the saga. This is not a world first - an American couple had already married in September in the metaverse -, but the experience, by its proportions, promises to be unprecedented all the same.

The first reason for their choice is linked to the Covid-19 epidemic . In a country where weddings are the occasion for gatherings of hundreds of people, the government has put in place restrictions with a limit of 100 people for each wedding.

At least four dead in Tulsa hospital

At least four people died on Wednesday after a man opened fire at a hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the southern United States. The shooter allegedly killed himself. “Officers are currently checking every room in the building for any threats,” police said earlier this evening. Although the identity of the killer has not been confirmed, it is thought to be a man between 35 and 40 years old, said Mr Brooks. The suspect was in possession of two firearms at the time of the shooting. “The shooter is dead. We believe he committed suicide,” the deputy chief added. It was while reading the news that she learned that an active shooter was at Saint Francis Hospital. “I went there to see a doctor two months ago. This hospital was one of the safest places in the world. I guess that's not the case anymore,” she blurts out. https://www.youonline.online/post/1122587_25-funny-moments-in-epl-season-2-watch-here-amazing-amp-hilarious-scenes-enjoy-it-funny-moments-in-epl-season-2-with-your-family-or-...
